just saw it like five minutes ago, and this is what I have to say in response.
I Did not Like: The Special Effects. There was way way way too much of it, and it was obvious. Although, in all fairness, the ships and vehcles were the most beautifully rendered ones ive ever seen. And that lizard thing was damn cool. But the CG characters were just poor. Hire some extras, it may have actually cost less.
Yoda's speech pattern. (see Jedusor's explanation)
R2-D2's roll in the movie. It sucked, i HATE it when characters are used for comic relief as poorly as he was. That little guy was cute in the original three and the first one. But they really turned him into a stupid little kid character that has no personality. It was cool however, when he set those droids on fire. Oh and thats another thing i didn't like, the stupid separatist droids and their idiotic personalities.
Switch Patters. They have been a major problem in all three of the new ones. theyre distracting and happen too often. If you use them, use the same one, not different ones. There were a few in the original three, and that was good, there were only a FEW of them
Hayden Christensen. He just can't act. plain and simple. He's bad at it.
Anakin's decline into the dark side. Was rushed way too much. But, you have to take into consideration the other episodes. Look at how palpatine treated him in earlier episodes. Still, going from his position in the beginning to how he ended up went too fast. Whatever. (See Jedusor's for more of my opinions on this matter)
Stupid drama/romance. To tell the truth, Lucas was never able to tell a good romance story or write good dialogue between romantic couples. so my only complaint is that he sucks at it and always has.
No blood to justify all the decapitation. Ok so i know lightsabers are pure evergy, and the point being made was that the wounds would get cauderized instantly made sense. But seriously, The pressure of blood from your neck veins and the veins in your hands would break through and spew everywhere. Even though the star wars universe can defy gravity, they still bleed.
What i liked.
Ewan McGregor. Only good actor to survive the whole trilogy.
The Battle Scenes. They were just cool. The camera angles got a little confusing. But seriously, Yoda kicking ass, Gen Greivous with 4 lighsabres, Space battle at the beginning, and that little kid kicking all those clone troppers asses was cool until he got shot. Oh and the dual (sort of) between Anakin, Obi-wan, and Dooku was pretty cool.

I like the story behind all of the movies, but i just think that the first two were half assed and this one was 3/4 assed. But i don't care really, at his wealth and fame, i wouldn't have even bothered with the first three. i woulda just sat back and retired.
