Yay, fossil

The partial skeleton of a three-year-old hominid of the same species as Lucy, but dating 150,000 years earlier, has been found in Ethiopia.

The scientists quoted in the article seem to be creaming their pants about it, so I guess it's a big deal. w00t.

The sad part of this was that I knew who "Lucy" was before I even read that. *watches too much TV*

That's not sad at all. I've known who Lucy was for years, and I don't even watch TV. It's good to have some basic scientific knowledge.
