Yeah, she's 18. I've tried to contact her several times over the last few days, and got the answering machine every time. I don't know if they went off to Japan/Russia/Alaska again or if they're just screening calls, but... I kind of wish she'd make an effort to talk to me. Two years ago, we had big plans for today. Two months ago, we had smaller plans, but still plans. Now, nothing.

It's not really like that. This situation is complicated- she's not supposed to communicate with me, and we'd had plans for the first day that she could legally see whoever she wanted. We were best friends until her parents decided I was Satan. We haven't been able to talk a whole lot since then, and I... kinda got the idea that she missed me, you know?

So I guess it is like that, to a greater degree.
