Well he's had 3 basic outfits in the anime, but you probably want to go with the first and classic look:

It's easy to tell the original outfit from all the others: it's the only one where his hat has a white front with that stylized C shape on it. All the outfits after that had the same green half Pokéball motif on a black background (like my avvie here). So any pic with the right hat will do.

I wish I could find a Pokéball or two for ya. Toys R Us sells some merchandise...

Getting it to go off to the side would be really, really hard. I went as Dilbert's pointy-haired boss once, and just getting the points required cardboard toilet paper tubes and a metric ass-ton of hair gel.
