Letters of the recommendation variety

Craig and Nancy agreed to fill out my instructor evaluation forms for the Common Application, and I know they'll both write good things about me. There's also a "College Official's Report" that I'm supposed to have a dean fill out, and I asked Shelli to do it because she actually knows me. She's not going to be on the PV campus again until next Thursday, so she suggested that I have Lisa Minis fill it out instead... but she offered to write me a letter of recommendation, and having a letter of recommendation from a dean is, I gather, a good thing. I also have an absolutely glowing letter from my former speech teacher, and Mindy's promised to print me off more copies of the one she wrote me for Reed.

It's eleven AM, and I'm 3/5 done with my Things I Absolutely Must Get Done Today list. I'm in a rather good mood.

(No, I'm probably not going to shut up about college applications for quite a while. Just so's you know.)

FYI: I talked to Bill about the app fees, it shouldn't be a problem. But I'll need to sit down with you to enter them in (they're all online, right?). Should we plan a time this weekend, or ???

I can't submit fees until after I complete the Common Application, which means after I write those essays. That will happen hopefully this weekend but definitely before Thursday. There is actually one college, Reed, that requires me to submit a check through the mail. That one's not due until March 1, though, so I might actually be able to pay for it myself.

Good news: I got lots of stuff done today, so I will definitely be up for Veronica Mars tonight. Oh, and my GED demographic thing is Monday after next (Feb. 5) and the actual test date will be Feb. 22 :D

don't let application fees stop you from applying where you want to -- i'd rather pay them myself than let that happen. (And i say that in all seriousness.)
