Yesterday: shopped, cooked, did housework.

Today: took apart a laptop computer, carried one end of a fucking heavy couch for half a mile, jaw-dropped at the Mustang convertible whose driver stopped to assist with couch transportation, took a screwdriver and a hammer to the loose end of the shelf in the closet (with questionable success).

When it comes to gender roles, I think I'm a switch.

I dont know if that's androgyny or just being a competant adult human. :)

I think skills are not gender-typical, simply socially-constructedly-typical. ...but I catch your drift, and you are a Cool Person. Get down with your socially-androgynous self. ♥

Hey. "Social androgyny." I want to think more about that phrase. Hmmmm. (Dude, your posts wake up sociologist/philosopher-Kit. Yay posts!)

Hm. I think skills incorporate traits that psychology currently labels gender-typical (e.g. taking apart a laptop implies some level of spacial awareness, logical ability, and risk-taking). Whether those traits are themselves socially constructed, and whether they should be labeled gender-typical, is definitely debatable.
