Okay, I'm back. Seriously, though, I cannot believe I didn't know this. We were watching the movie, me for the first time since I was about six, and Mom was like, "Wow, he's such a good pirate, isn't he?" To which I responded, "Murr?" She told me to look at the eyes, and when I still didn't get it (I've only seen him in RHPS, okay?) she sang part of "Sweet Transvestite" under her breath.

I then spent the next forty-five minutes attempting to simultaneously watch the movie and make these:

It was like the total opposite for me, though. I remember watching MTI when I was little (and totally getting a crush on him) and then later seeing RHPS, and being all, "OMG!! It's LONG JOHN SILVER!!!!"

I didn't recognize him at all either way. The beard and makeup differences are very drastic. As soon as Mom pointed it out, though, I squeed so much that my brothers complained that they couldn't hear the movie.

Movie magic can do a lot for a person. Look at Eric Stolz in "Mask" (the one with Cher in it, not the Jim Carrey movie) and just recently Donald Sutherland in Spider-Man movies.
