Julia Sabin: so should i pierce my right or left eyebrow?
CrazyTunnelGirl: left
Julia Sabin: why?
CrazyTunnelGirl: always left
Julia Sabin: why?
CrazyTunnelGirl: because left rocks
Julia Sabin: okay, now i've got one vote for right and one vote for left
Julia Sabin: i think i'm just gonna make up my own mind about it
CrazyTunnelGirl: ok
Julia Sabin: left is typically the female side
Julia Sabin: so i could do that as an expression of pride
Julia Sabin: or i could do the right as an expression of irony
Julia Sabin: the left side is the artistic side of the brain, so maybe
Julia Sabin: but the right side is logic, and i'm a very logical person
CrazyTunnelGirl: MAKE UP YOUR GOD DAMNED MIND
CrazyTunnelGirl: if it makes any diffrence, i'm doing the left side oif my nose
Julia Sabin: right is good because i want to be right versus wrong
Julia Sabin: but left is good because it's the opposite... again with the irony
Julia Sabin: i like the letter L more than the letter R
Julia Sabin: but the letter R is later in the alphabet
Julia Sabin: left-handed people are less common, and i want to be uncommon
Julia Sabin: but there are more male lefties, and i don't want to be stereotyped
Julia Sabin: then again, i could challenge stereotypes by going with left
CrazyTunnelGirl: dammt julia if you don't shut up i'm gonna block you
I didn't get to the political views part. *grin*

Date: 2005-07-05 11:45 pm (UTC)and also because the letter R is so much cooler than the letter L...
...and because it would be ironic from a political perspective to have it ont he right side, because as we all know, you are not a right wing person...
but mainy the right side just because i say so. I think that right there is the best reason. either way though, you getting your eyebrow pierced will make you this: |==============================================================================================================================================================| much hotter on my scale. I loves me a girl with piercings. But thats just me.

Date: 2005-07-12 08:52 am (UTC)Don't pierce your eyebrow. I hate to sound like a geezer, but I absolutely promise you that you'll regret it. How do I know? 'Cause I, and all of my friends, had tons of piercings when we were your age and now we ALL... (well, except for my best buddy Justin who still wears three noserings and a mohawk, but he's pretty willful about the whole thing, which is boring) really wish we hadn't. If you look closely at my (right!) eyebrow, you'll see the holes. And you can obviously see that my nose has never healed (going to have to get laser surgery, for god's sake, to correct that nonsense) ... and I'm quite sick of having to wash out the never-closing tunnels from... other... piercings I used to have. Here's my shout-out for non-visible piercings (navel, nipples, etc.) and, when you're old enough, tattoos: it's cooler to keep that stuff secret. It's cooler to be able to slip into meetings with the city council (as I did last week) dressed like your usual librarian-ass self (grandma sweater, skirt, sensible leather shoes, hair in a bun) and have people pay attention to the fact that you're smart and not that you have metal in your face (oh god, "metal in your face"?! I sound like my dad...). Then you get back in your car and take off the sensible sweater and it's "private" you. Do you know what I'm saying? I'm not saying "hypocritical double-life" bs, I mean that it's much more fun (and beneficial) to be able to control what people, who are all shallow and judgemental, think of you right off the bat.
