I have no idea why I didn't see the "customize journal" thing when I started my journal, over a year ago, but I haven't looked at the page since until today. Now it looks all neat and stuff! I toyed with a few images in the background, but decided I like it better without them.

un_likely if anyone had any Snow Patrol music. I loved "Run," the only song I had then heard by them, and wanted more. Someone posted their album "Final Straw," I burned it onto a CD, and forgot about it. Today, I was listening to my unmarked CDs to figure out what they were, and I put in "Final Straw"...
Oh. My. God.
I have not been this blown away by a CD since I first heard "Pretty Hate Machine," and that's my favorite album. I listened to it once, played track six three times, listened to the whole album again, listened to track six again, and then played the CD again. (My new journal title, incidentally, is from track six.) I'll post a few songs from it later (when I'm on the comp that has them), but I'm not going to post all of it, because I seriously think you'll like them enough to buy the album, and this band deserves the money. I'll be buying their other albums when I get the money to do so, possibly after my birthday (incidentally, if you were wondering what to get me?)
I also finished reading "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time." It was really good, and almost made me wish I was autistic. I know it's a huge burden to caretakers and family members, but not worrying about what other people think of you, and having that intense level of concentration and memory with things you're passionate about, and noticing all the little details about everything... that kind of worldview seems very attractive to me. Anyway, I think I want to study it more.
The bro wants the computer, and I should be studying anyway for my bio final. *wanders off to listen to "Final Straw" again instead*
