What-I-did-today post
Sep. 2nd, 2005 09:23 pmI got a call at seven forty-five this morning (!) from someone who is apparently high enough on the Penn Valley pecking order to enroll me in honors seminar. I had called her yesterday, having gotten the number from Ms. Harrington, the seminar teacher. I also talked to my French teacher, and I now have plans in motion for both of the honors credit projects I need to do this semester, which is definitely a good thing. I bought a gym membership, and the dude didn't check my age. Hopefully nobody actually looks at those forms. If they don't, I'll have access to the gym and a bunch of the gym classes until the last day of finals.
I'm starting to feel less weird about wandering into the SAC office and making myself at home. I don't know why I have a hard time feeling comfortable in there- it's one of the most comfortable environments at Penn Valley. I think it's because I'm worried about messing up and getting kicked off the board or something. Anyway, things are going okay with that. I called Reverend Eller at All Souls, who is chairperson (or some other title meaning biggest honcho) of the Interfaith Council, about organizing a speaker or other religious diversity-related event, probably sometime in November. He wasn't there, but I left a message and I'll talk to him on Sunday if he doesn't call me before then.
I got the Renaissance stuff back from Aunt Amanda, and pulled out the sewing machine Grandma gave me to adjust the bodice to fit me. I was too lazy to take it off, so I'm currently wearing a Renaissance chemise, bodice, fishnets and high heels. Mhm.
Oh, and I'm on the G5, after Mom spent ten minutes last night convincing Bill that doing my homework is more important than his stupid ban for something that wasn't even my fault in the first place. Not that that's the stance she took on it, but... *sigh*
Anyway. Yeah. Homework.
