After alphabetizing a four-foot stack of completely mixed-up files, stapling several hundred "Fall 2006" labels to feedback forms, and going on a wild goose chase around campus for textbooks for the writing center, I ran out of actual work two hours ago. I'm all caught up on Overheard In NY and my flist, and I've gotten as far as I can on today's crosswords. I can't listen to music or watch videos at work, I have no new e-mail, and all my holiday activity (buying gifts, wrapping them, and making cards) can't be done here. The only thing I brought with me today is a book that I don't particularly feel like reading at the moment.

In other words, I'm bored. For the first time in... weeks, at least.

Damn, this feels good.

I'm now going to obsessively refresh MetroLink (just in case any of my teachers happen to be inputting grades; two of them have already given me As, four haven't entered grades yet) and watch Jim, the math specialist, play with his remote-control car until Richard picks me up in about forty-five minutes. Ta!

(Also, to those of you worried about power imbalance: yes, Richard drives, but I buy him food, so things even out :P)

EDIT: Also, I discovered V8 on Friday, and am in love with the stuff. If not for the sodium, I'd drink a six-pack a day of it.

You're getting something wrong, miss. Clive drives and buys me food...

I think you're slightly less concerned about relationship equality than I am :P

Actually, I spent a long time feeling horribly, horribly guilty about it, up until he pretty much told me to STFU, bitch, because he's spending less on me than he would if we weren't in a relationship, or something. I dunno.

According to the old V8 ad, you should be hitting yourself non-stop on the head for all the V8s you could have had. Also, they do have a low sodium version and even a spicy one. Of course there's no low sodium Coke, as salt is the secret ingredient that *DRIES YOUR MOUTH OUT SO YOU'LL DRINK MORE FUCKING COKE.* OK, shutting pissiness module down now.

Well, I buy it from a vending machine at school, and they don't have the low-sodium variety. I'd like to try it, though, to see how different the flavor is. I'll keep an eye out for it; thanks for letting me know.

Heh. I hate Coke too. And Pepsi, and Dr. Pepper (except that one time at con this summer, but the vanilla berry kind doesn't really count). The only soda I'll drink is root beer, and Sprite if it's cold but doesn't have ice in it.

I have an almost-empty glass of the low sodium stuff next to me. It doesn't taste all that different from the original, but it's not quite as good, and it leaves a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. Also, it makes my mouth burn. I think I'll stick to the salty one. Thanks for mentioning it, though!

Are you going to be at Stamford? I'm thinking about going.
