Yes, but the question becomes: Will there be anyone WORTH voting for in the 2008 election? So far every name advanced as a possibility doesn't thrill me at all.

Don't get too excited just yet; I voted against Blair in 2005, and persuaded several others to do likewise. OK, so the local Blairite Member of Parliament ended up out on her ear, but Blair's still there. )-8

Heh, that reminds me of something. When I helped organize the Youth Political Summit in fall '05, we conducted a survey among KC youth to find out what they were interested in and such. Two of the questions on the survey were, "Are you legally eligible to vote?" and, "Did you vote in the last presidential election?" One person answered "no" to the first and "yes" to the second.
