I thought about writing an editorial about the Mooninite scare, but it wouldn't say anything this guy didn't say more eloquently than I would have. Thanks to
toonhead_npl for the link. And I got my "ATHF is the bomb" Mooninite shirt today, so that makes me happy.
Everyone seems to be either doing this or planning on doing it, because that quiz doesn't tell you the right answers to questions you missed, and the rush to take mine seems to be dying down, so:
Question #1: How many units of college coursework have I completed?
Answer: 63.
I admit I was surprised at how many people guessed "12" on this one. I have been taking college classes since I was eleven- not full-time classes every semester, but that's still a lot of time to rack up units.
Question #2: What's my favorite part of my martial arts class?
Answer: Knife fighting.
That little message you saw if you got less than 50% saying you must not read my LJ was a joke, as I haven't actually mentioned some of those things on my LJ. However, I have mentioned this!
Question #3: What two undiagnosed mental oddities do I believe I have, to some extent?
Answer: Synesthesia and OCD.
I don't see letters as having colors, but I'm a synesthete in that I see sounds. Words have shapes in my mind, and if I don't know how to spell a word, I won't remember it. As far as the OCD goes, it's very mild with me, but some things bother me that shouldn't.
Question #4: How many Bibles do I own?
Answer: 3.
I have a Douay-Rheims edition I had to buy for my Bible As Literature class in 2005, a Gideon my mom filched for me from a hotel, and a kind of self-help edition I got from some people handing out doughnuts and Bibles at Main and 39th. I also have a miniature New Testament I found in a UCD classroom during the weekly juggling meeting years ago, but that doesn't count as a full Bible. I'm not Christian, but the historical and literary aspects of the work fascinate me.
Question #5: Who was the worst teacher I've ever had?
Answer: Perry Taleghani-Fard.
All four teachers I listed were pretty bad, but this dude was ridiculous. He got the problems wrong on the board at least once per class period, had a thick accent so I could only understand about one out of three words he said, and wouldn't let us have our tests back to see which questions we got wrong because he might use the same tests in a future class and didn't want us helping friends cheat.
Question #6: What's my favorite part of the female form?
Answer: Hips.
Curves are what make a woman. I'm barely ever attracted to girls who don't have nice hips.
Question #7: How many people are on my AIM buddy list?
Answer: 62.
I had several hundred people on my tenebrousmuffin buddy list, but that resulted in constant IMs from people who had nothing to say but "whats up?" and "im bored." When I switched screen names, I left quite a few people off my new buddy list.
Question #8: When I woke up in an ambulance at age 2, what did I call the paramedic?
Answer: Mailman.
Hey, the uniforms look kind of similar.
Question #9: What food have I never eaten?
Answer: Hamburgers.
I have never eaten a hamburger in my life. I had pepperoni pizza and chicken legs before I turned vegetarian at age 4, but I never ate a hamburger.
Question #10: Which NPLer did I stump for 20 minutes with a flat I wrote at age 12?
Answer: Kray.
I was extremely proud of myself. It was probably a fluke, as the flat wasn't difficult at all, but I still felt pretty good.
Question #11: Where did I always suspect someone was hiding when I was little?
Answer: Behind the shower curtain.
I used to check behind the curtain before I used the bathroom. I did it until I was maybe nine years old. I have no clue why.
Question #12: Where did I have my first kiss?
Answer: At a juggling festival.
Josh Simon, at the last Lodi festival in fall of 2003. I was 13, he was 17. I'd met him about twelve hours before. I had no idea what I was doing, but it went fairly well, apart from me sitting on his glasses (oops).
Question #13: What do I want most for my 17th birthday?
Answer: A laptop.
A lot of you guessed that I wanted to lose my virginity.
Question #14: Which of the following have I hugged?
Answer: Julia Butterfly Hill.
Remember her? The chick who sat in a tree for two years to stop loggers cutting it down? She was the one who inspired me to go vegan, at the 2003 Whole Earth Festival. As for the other three: John Linnell didn't even come out after the TMBG concert I attended, Jason Garfield doesn't really do hugs, and I've never met Scott Adams.
Question #15: Which of the following do I abstain from drinking?
Answer: Orange juice.
It started out as a symbolic thing between me and Sarah when her parents cut her off from seeing or communicating with me. I didn't drink it for so long that I stopped liking it (this happened when I stopped drinking milk, too) so now it's more of a random fact about me.
Question #16: How many official relationships have I been in?
Answer: 4.
Emily, Dan, Jonhenry, and Richard. None of them lasted more than four months. That's okay, though. I'll have plenty of time to work on that later in life. Right now, as far as relationships go, I pretty much live in the moment, and it's mostly worked so far.
Question #17: What is my guilty-pleasure music?
Answer: Eminem.
I'm sorry, Rain.
Question #18: Who's my favorite character in the Harry Potter books?
Answer: Tom Riddle.
Brilliant, evil, and not yet disgusting. My LJ name is actually Riddle's last name in the French translation of the Harry Potter books. It doesn't actually mean "riddle," from what I gather- they just used that name to make the anagram work in French.
Question #19: If given a choice, what would be my preferred mode of transportation?
Answer: Motorcycle.
I would absolutely love to own a motorcycle. I don't think I've ever even ridden one, but the thought of it exhilarates me.
Question #20: Which of the following have I not done?
Answer: Shaved my entire head.
I have had a letter printed in Savage Love. (Nope, not telling what it said.) I was licked by a cow near my grandma's house last year. And I deep-throated a banana onstage at the International Jugglers' Association festival last summer. But I have never shaved my head, nor do I ever intend to do so.

Date: 2007-02-09 08:05 pm (UTC)re the shower curtains: you guys always loved to hide in the bathtub and pull the shower curtains over you when you played hide and seek. you'd do this over and over, even in the same game. so i guess you might have thought everyone else liked to hide there, too?
