Ava died in a car accident on Wednesday.

I haven't processed this yet. At all. But in a few minutes, I'm going to fall apart.

Edit: Ava's mom asked me to tell her LJ friends, so just in case you knew her: she was androidlovesong, formerly known as macabresinclair. Her name was Abigail Garcia; she used to go by Abby but switched to Ava when she started going to Reed College. I think I have her macabresinclair password somewhere; I'll put up a post there if I find it.

Still in shock.

As much as I can be, I suppose. I called in to work, and I've spent most of the day in a bit of a haze, rereading old LJ entries and using up all my tissues. I'll write more about Ava and what she meant to me at some point, but right now I'm not coherent enough.
