Now, I don't really understand the full political implications of this Russia-Georgia conflict. I don't think anyone does. But it seems clear to me that it's important, and that US missile base in Poland worries me, so I've been following the situation pretty closely. It looks like Condoleezza Rice has been jetting all over the place--meeting with Sarkozy in France, Saakashvili in Georgia, and now she's off to Brussels to chat with folks from NATO and the EU.

Yep. His Texas ranch.

Oh, but he didn't leave until yesterday. He was going to go on Thursday. He postponed his trip a whole day, just to be sure WWIII wouldn't ruin his vacation. Such sacrifice!
