I have just dreamed up the best sport ever: diabolo basketball. Everybody gets a pair of handsticks, and the rest of the rules are the same--you have to keep the diabolo in the air unless you're standing still, and the goal is to get it in a basketball hoop.

My subconscious is frickin' awesome.

I'm guessing this means you have to keep the diabolo in the air when standing still if you expect to move again. One wouldn't want to double-diabolo.

I have seen enough diabolos caught in basketball nets over the years to suspect that the real-life version may have a fatal flaw. Or at least an annoying one.

In my dream, the diabolo hit the rim, balanced while spinning for a moment, then tipped in and fell through cup-first. But I recognize that such badassery may not actually occur in real life. *sigh*

I think this is a much better idea than diabolo soccer, which has similar rules but uses footsticks.
