* Scan my interest list in my userinfo and pick out the one that seems the most odd to you.
* I'll explain it.
* Then you post this in your journal so other people can ask you about your interests.
I just got over a big hurdle with the book. Hopefully it'll go smoothly from here *crosses fingers*
And I have been recruited as my mom's DDR coach. Like... seriously. O.o

Date: 2005-01-21 05:17 am (UTC)I mean, not that I think that it's that odd or anything, but I'm always interested in seeing why people ship the more minor pairings.

Date: 2005-01-21 11:47 am (UTC)Plus, I'm not really into the most popular pairings in any fandom (RPS excepted). That's why I don't do very much PotC fic; because there are only so many pairings that make any sense.

Date: 2005-01-21 11:58 am (UTC)Hiptops (http://www.danger.com/), renamed as Sidekicks by T*Mobile (the distributor), are amazing little things. They're cell phones, about the size of a bar of soap. The screen flips out to reveal a thumb keyboard, and they're equipped with wireless internet access, e-mail, IM, electronic calendar, notepad, games, and I don't remember what else. My mom even has this little, maybe one inch long, camera attachment that can take photos and e-mail them directly from the device. (I'm describing the original hiptop here, because that's what my mom and stepdad have, but they just came out with a new one.) I knew about this thing long before it was ever advertised or sold, because one of the first five people on the project was my stepdad's friend Ficus (full name Ficus Ulysses Carter Kirkpatrick, check out the initials), who is an evil genius, and I'm not even kidding. We have all kinds of evil-genius-Ficus stories. He let us play with his black-and-white prototype when he first got it.
Anyway, I really want one, but they're something like $300 for the unit plus $60 a month, so Jedusor doesn't get a hiptop. *sigh*
