It's wonderful, really, to have the entire house to myself for five whole hours. It's wonderful to talk on the phone without anyone overhearing. It's wonderful to be on the computer without anyone dropping in to say that they want it, or can I watch Link, or that the trash needs to be taken out. It's wonderful to put on Marilyn Manson while I cut up magazines for my Student Activities collage with no baby to rip up the paper or steal the scissors, and then hear a really perfect beat, turn up the music and dance on the couch like an idiot without worrying about bothering other people or getting bawled out for standing on the furniture.

But what's really wonderful?

Having my mom walk in the door with chocolate almond Purely Decadent and start singing along to "Sweet Dreams," at the Some of them want to be abused line. Yep. That, my friend, is wonderful.
