The Magic Hat
Nov. 12th, 2005 03:09 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
I just typed in all the classes I want to take next spring (24 units) into a schedule in Excel, stared at it longingly for a few minutes, figured out how much it would cost ($1824, not counting books) and deleted three of them, bringing it down to 15 units. I just can't take off Adjustment and Personality. I haven't had a psych class since Intro to Psych and I really want to take another one. I don't know... it would probably be stupid to take on a load that big, what with struggling with algebra, but I honestly think I'll be better at the math with a halfway-competent teacher, and I've heard good things about the math teacher I'm taking this spring.
Now, pictures! Twenty-five large images under the cut, not for the weak of internet service.
I brought the digital camera and my black top hat to Penn Valley and took pictures of a bunch of people in it. See, this hat is magic. Everybody looks good in it. Not all these pictures are good pictures, because I am not a photographer, but I promise you that this hat looked fabulous on every single person that donned it.
First off, some surly eye candy (Levi from my math class). Innee pretty?

Ray, photographer for the Spectrum (the newspaper I'll be working on if I take Newswriting and Reporting next semester):

Brian, Penn Valley custodian and resident familiar face:

My evil English teacher:

Ashley from my honors seminar:

Jake,
zephyrofgod's brother:

Twan (the doo-rag and the hat don't really go together all that well, nee?)

Scott, also in my honors seminar:

Jared, the one who bought me coffee in the employees-only section of Hallmark:

Stephanie (this is a REALLY bad picture of her, unfortunately):

Madame Brandt:

Matt from French class:

Mike from French class:

Andrea from French class:

Leeanne (technically from French class, but I see her all over the place):

Alex, president of the Cultural Exchange Club and A4BG's resident Republican:

Dylynda, Alex's wife:

Rachel, the sweet lady who works in the Humanities department and helped out a ton with the YPS:

The 31 line bus driver:

The 57 line bus driver with the kickass sunglasses:

Barbara from PTK:

Pam Yeager, PTK advisor, who took one look at this picture and said, "That picture could have been taken out of A Clockwork Orange." Y'know, I think Pam would make a great Madame Hooch.

Pam's sister, who sat in on this morning's meeting:

Link, who did his level best to keep me from getting a picture of him with the hat actually on his head:

And me, of course:

And to wrap up this quite random post, a quote from earlier today, when Bill had just picked me up from the Plaza:
Me: I tried to steal music from the Apple computers, but it wouldn't let me.
Bill: *starts laughing hysterically*
Me: What? Wouldn't you have tried?
Bill: I would have succeeded.
EDIT: Dude. Jesse Hajicek just complimented my icon. O.o

Date: 2006-02-21 07:43 pm (UTC)With my top hat... I only wear that at night, when I want to. With my trenchcoat and black gloves, it makes me look and feel like Jack the Ripper. It's a wonderful hat, really, it is, and you should go look at the picture I have of it (which would be somewhere on www.myspace.com/captain_ed ). Actually, I think I've still got a picture of me with the bowler (derby?) too.
