I got to the airport three hours before my flight, because Clay got in around noon. They put me on a different plane about five minutes after I walked in, with a short line at checkin and absolutely no wait for security, despite the dire warnings. I'm here now, safe and sound. The weather is fantastic.

I love Midwest Airlines. Two decently sized seats per row, footrests, AND real cranberry juice (as opposed to the flavored apple juice Southwest tries to pass off as cranberry).

It's okay, I'm all booked anyway. But if they have any input about the schools I'm visiting, I'd love to hear it. Did they look at Hampshire or Wesleyan? I didn't get tours of those.

Midwest is cushy. I fly it whenever I can (which, given that my folks live a twenty minutes' drive away from their hub airport, is not infrequent). Time was you got actual gourmet meals on board, with glassware and real utensils and everything, but those days are past. Tell me they still gave you fresh-baked cookies though?

Of course they had cookies. I didn't take any due to veganism, though in retrospect I ought to have grabbed a couple for my aunt and uncle.

Only you would complain about cranberry juice on a plain, Norma. I would just be glad to get the hell out of town. Save all cute boy stories until after September 1st. Take LOTS of pictures.

I wasn't complaining! I was saying how awesome it is that they had real cranberry juice. I don't mind the flavored apple stuff on Southwest, it's just nice to have real cranberry juice.

I have no cute boy stories yet, and I haven't taken a single picture. But I'm having a total blast anyway!
