I guess it's not just Clark.
Jan. 28th, 2009 01:40 pmI think I've been this undergrad for a few of my TAs, and teachers too. At least I hope I have. The prospect of teaching at some point is intimidating to me mostly because I'm afraid none of my students will give a shit.

Date: 2009-01-30 04:37 am (UTC)I am not (yet) an NPLer. I got into puzzling through the West Coast Game community, and I've somehow always thought of the NPL as more about word puzzles in particular and less about puzzle hunts. I've met plenty of cool NPL people through puzzle hunting, of course, and I go to Equinox parties sometimes, so it's really only a matter of time.

Date: 2009-01-30 05:40 am (UTC)The NPL is more about getting to hang out with a bunch of other rabid puzzle geeks than it is about any particular puzzle type. The official con agendas and the monthly publication do tend to be heavy on word puzzles, but there are puzzlers of all stripes there, and cons are much more relaxed and social than goal-oriented puzzle hunts. I love both types of events for very different reasons.
