Twenty minutes late
May. 17th, 2006 12:20 amHappy birthday,
lizzip!
(Even though it's not the sixteenth anymore, and it hasn't been the sixteenth for quite a while in England, and I don't think she's able to read her flist again yet anyway.)

So, my summer plans so far:
May 18: Last day of finals.
May 19: Leave for St. Louis with Matt. Stay there for the weekend with
crazybutsound, also visiting Michelle and Phyllis from my French class and Peter from the IJA while I'm there.
May 22: Take Amtrak home.
May 24-29 (I think): WisCon in Madison with Mom, Link and
vito_excalibur.
June:
sweaty_nano.
June 18-24: Anytown. I do not know how I'm going to do
sweaty_nano during this, but I'm sure I'll have some free time.
July 1-6 (I think):
talldancergirl will be visiting.
July 15: I plan to turn 16 on this day.
July 17-23: The IJA festival in Portland.
July 26-30: The NPL convention in San Antonio.
I'm walking in the Kansas City AIDS Walk on the 22nd, next Saturday. If you're feeling generous, you can donate by credit card here. Even a couple of bucks would help. Also, if you live in the KC area and want to walk with me, let me know- I'd love some more company.
Noel made me laugh the other day. He was twisting a paper clip out of shape, and I asked him why he was destroying it. He grinned and said (in his adorable Spanish accent), "I'm not destroying it, I am giving it new form."
I went to a fancy restaurant, Aixois, yesterday with my French class. I got a really delicious gazpacho with tomato, cucumber and avocado, and, um, French fries. Madame Brandt tried to get me to eat some escargots. ("They're not meat, they're.... insects!")
Happy birthday to
nattus and
ennienyc- sorry I'm late! I hope that you both had a wonderful day, and that you have a wonderful year!

Which eyebrow should I pierce?
Jul. 4th, 2005 07:29 amJulia Sabin: so should i pierce my right or left eyebrow?
CrazyTunnelGirl: left
Julia Sabin: why?
CrazyTunnelGirl: always left
Julia Sabin: why?
CrazyTunnelGirl: because left rocks
Julia Sabin: okay, now i've got one vote for right and one vote for left
Julia Sabin: i think i'm just gonna make up my own mind about it
CrazyTunnelGirl: ok
Julia Sabin: left is typically the female side
Julia Sabin: so i could do that as an expression of pride
Julia Sabin: or i could do the right as an expression of irony
Julia Sabin: the left side is the artistic side of the brain, so maybe
Julia Sabin: but the right side is logic, and i'm a very logical person
CrazyTunnelGirl: MAKE UP YOUR GOD DAMNED MIND
CrazyTunnelGirl: if it makes any diffrence, i'm doing the left side oif my nose
Julia Sabin: right is good because i want to be right versus wrong
Julia Sabin: but left is good because it's the opposite... again with the irony
Julia Sabin: i like the letter L more than the letter R
Julia Sabin: but the letter R is later in the alphabet
Julia Sabin: left-handed people are less common, and i want to be uncommon
Julia Sabin: but there are more male lefties, and i don't want to be stereotyped
Julia Sabin: then again, i could challenge stereotypes by going with left
CrazyTunnelGirl: dammt julia if you don't shut up i'm gonna block you
I didn't get to the political views part. *grin*

Feb. 9th, 2005 12:35 amHAPPY THIRTIETH BIRTHDAY
crazybutsound!!!!!! *throws confetti* I don't know any of the special effects to make it scroll across the screen or appear big and colorful and stuff, but I hope you can sense my excitement from all the exclamation points!!!!!!! You're a brilliant photographer, a wonderful writer, and an amazing person. You don't deserve any of the crap that's happened to you, and I hope you get what you do deserve in the future. *many many hugs*
